The Greenbrier Artists are a group of over 70 working artists who meet every Thursday morning during the school year to paint at Carnegie Hall in Lewisburg, WV. Throughout the year we have we have workshops, demos, critiques, exhibits, and paint-outs. Dues are minimal and all are welcome to join.

Pamela Gatens

A native of Dallas, Texas, Pamela has enjoyed a career as a graphic artist and typesetter since 1971. After living in Los Angeles for 20 years, she and her husband Pat moved to Hillsboro, WV in 2002. They live on the Greenbrier River with their Yellow Laborador, Barker and a senior tabby cat. Pamela joined the Greenbrier Artists in 2003, and has been painting her favorite subjects, cats and flowers, in watercolor ever since. She is also a Signature Member of the West Virginia Watercolor Society and enjoys teaching workshops locally. Pamela's notecards, prints and bookmarks can be found at Tamarack in Beckley, as well as her colorful hand-dyed shirts and tote bags.
