Artist Statement

I primarialy paint in transparent watercolor, sometimes incorporating ink and collage. The natural environmental has a great influence on my life and my work, and natural elements appear in most of my paintings. I love the challenge of experimenting with new ideas and the adventure of moving to the next artistic level.

Another fund raiser for the group is the mini-slate paintings. The paintings are all original and done by the individual artists. Many of the mini-slate paintings are of historical sites of the City of Lewisburg or West Virginia. They are a favorites of tourists to our area.

One of the ways the group raises money to sponsor work shops for the members is through the sale of an annually published calendar. The calendar features 12 images of individual members work. The calendars are printed on heavy linen stock and each month's image is suitable for framing. For additional information regarding the calendars, please contact Pamela Gatens at 304-653-4510.

Critiques are an important part of improving our work. Everyone enjoy participating.
